Colour combinations can be tricky!
I thought I was making my second pair of Helen’s Closet (https://helensclosetpatterns.com/product/arden-pants/) Arden pants to go with the stripey top, but it’s my least favourite of the three here.

I made the blue and white striped top knowing I was going to be making these trousers, but I’m not sure it goes best with this vivid blue. The Arden pants is a great pattern with lots of lovely top stitching. I have been making it with this type of cotton sateen with 3% lycra and they are so comfortable!

I have made the Ardens before so I knew they would fit. In my original muslin (trial garment) I made them in non-stretch fabric and found them just a little to tight.
The shorter tops are the Cashmerette Cedar Dolman and the stripey is the Wiksten Shift with shirttails added. The vividly coloured paisley is Liberty Lawn that I got on sale.
I got the lovely sateen from http://www.craftystudio.ie
